Five horizontal watercolor brush strokes in ink blue and cool ash with a soft-gold accent on white, with a Saul Bass–style ink icon of a hollowed watchtower or abstract eye shape with a faint ripple line drifting away.

Sentinull

SEN-tih-nuhl

Origins

From sentinel, the watcher who stays alert, blended with null for absence.

Meaning

Sentinull is the dull ache when we realize nobody is scanning the room for us anymore.

The calls slow down, the check-ins stop, and the silence lands as proof we are no longer an emergency. Part of us feels relieved. Another part feels strangely unseen.

We learn that safety can feel like invisibility when attention used to equal care.

Usage

Sentinull hit when I realized nobody was checking if I got home safe anymore.
